Adolfo Cambiaso to play at the IPC

Polo star to take part in 26-goal tournaments as part of Valiente II, together with David Stirling

The International Polo Club confirmed on Tuesday, January 31st that the Valiente II team, formed by Robert Jornayvaz, Adolfo Cambiaso, Uruguay's David Stirling and a fourth player still to be announced, will compete in the venue's 26-goal tournaments this season.

Cambiaso and Stirling, who as part of the La Dolfina outfit won the 2011 Abierto Argentino, will be playing the Royal Salute C.V. Whitney Cup (February 19th to March 4th), the USPA Piaget Gold Cup (March 7th to 25th), and the Nespresso 108th US Open Polo Championship, the leading polo event of the United States (March 28th to April 22nd).

Apart from Valiente II, the other confirmed teams in the event are Audi, Coca-Cola, ERG, Alegría, La Lechuza Caracas, Las Monjitas, Orchard Hill, Piaget (this team will only be playing the Golden Cup), Valiente I and Zacara.

Apart from Cambiaso and Stilring taking part in events at the IPCthis season, other leading figures will be the Pieres brothers, Nicolás and Gonzalo playing for Audi, and Facundo playing for Zacara; Hilario Ulloa and Julio Arellano as part of the Coca-Cola team; Agustín and Sebastián Merlos together with Francisco de Narváez at ERG; Mariano Aguerre and Tomás García del Río together with Canada's Frederick Mannix at Alegria; Guillermo Caset and Juan Martín Nero at La Lechuza Caracas; Javier and Eduardo Novillo Astrada at Las Monjitas; Pablo MacDonough and Lucas Criado at Orchard Hill; Rodrigo Ribeiro de Andrade at Piaget; Pablo Pieres together with Miguel and Ignacio Novillo Astrada at Valiente I; and Christian Laprida and Joaquín Pittaluga alongside Facu Pieres at Zacara.
