Silex also a titlist at Santa María Polo Club

Team claims low-handicap Copa de Bronce. High-handicap action also

Short in the steps of the Seven Sevens team's clinching the medium-handicap Coap de Bronce title of the 41st Torneo Internacional BMW de Polo on Saturday, August 4th, the Silex team claimed top honours in the low-handicap Copa de Bronce on Sunday 5th.

In what was a hard-fought final at the Santa María Polo Club, the Silex foursome defeated Bisontes 10 1/2-8 and lifted the Copa de Bronce. Prior to this match, Capial had won the subsidiary cup by defeating El Castañar 9-8.

There were also three high-handicap matches taking place this Sunday as part of the tournament: Dos Lunas Hublot defeated Kaptive Leones 15-9, HB Polo Team defeated Ayala in OT, 13-12, and finally, Scapa comfortably managed victory against Las Monjitas, 13-7.

Monday 6th will be a resting day for all teams taking part in the Torneo Internacional BMW de Polo, and the fixtures announced for Tuesday 7th are the following: Lechuza Caracas vs. Scapa and Dos Lunas vs. Ayala, in what will be the final day of qualifying matches of the high-handicap (Copa de Plata) division, with the semi-finals scheduled for Thursday, August 9th. That same day, the first matches of the low-handicap Copa de Plata will be played.
