Saint-Tropez ready to host British Polo Day
Stylish event this weekend in southern France venue
British Polo Day St Tropez, sponsored by Victor Jets is holding its debut event on 9th June at Polo Club Saint Tropez. The event is a celebration of British heritage and will see polo players from Britain's finest institutions competing against each other with teams from Eton and Oxford going head to head with our friends in France.
The event celebrates the deep-rooted friendship and alliances between Britain and France. Jilly Cooper, an avid fan of British Polo Day said "(I) salute with much admiration the cultural exchange evident in the British Polo Day". The day will bring together friends from the UK and France as well as an international crowd of polo enthusiasts, friends, business men and women alike.
In the last year British Polo Day has become one of the most prestigious sporting and polo events around the world: an extravaganza of sport, society, style, with an eclectic mix of high profile guests over the years including, HRH Prince Rashid ben El Hassan of Jordan, Lord Astor of Hever, the Duke of Roxburghe, Lady Natasha Rufus Isaacs, Prince Car-Eugen zu Otteigen zu Wallerstein, Novak Djokovic and the American stars Flo Rida and Estelle. This summer we are welcoming Arthur de Soultrait, the founder of Victome Arthur who has just opened his first shop in the UK as well as Clive Jackson Director of Victor Jets.
The weekend started on Friday 8th with an exclusive players party at ONE Authentic Properties flagship villa overlooking the bay of St Tropez. The event itself begins on Saturday 9th June at 1300 at Polo Club Saint Tropez with a Taittinger champagne reception followed by a formal lunch for all the guests and an auction in aid of the Princes Charities. After the polo, guests will be invited to dinner/ drinks at Les Caves du Roy. Nikki Beach are kindly hosting a pool party on Sunday 10th.
Organized by old friends, Tom Hudson an Edward Olver, the event is partnered with some of the most esteemed British brands to create a 'best of British' day including Victor Jets, Intercontinental Park Lane, Ettinger and Johnsons of Elgin.
Tom Hudson co-founder of The British Polo Day has said: "We are very excited about bringing The British Polo Day to the South of France. It will be an amazing experience, playing and watching polo against the backdrop of sun, sea and sand in such a smooth, stylish location."
