Junior Equestrian & Polo Programme

Following the overwhelming success of the Junior Equestrian & Polo Programme (JEPP) hosted last spring and summer, Tianjin Goldin Metropolitan Polo Club is proud to offer the Programme again this year. Tailored specifically to introduce boys and girls to the joy of riding and the thrilling sport of polo, these weekend courses will commence on March 31, 2012. Altogether there are five courses, each course lasting for two days.

This unique residential weekend programme covers horse riding, stick & ball (mallet practice), wooden horse practice, basic polo tactics, polo lecture, stable management as well as a demo polo game. The course is led by experienced polo and equestrian professionals, namely Derek Reid (Director of Polo Operations, former Australian National Polo Team Captain) and Isabel Branch (Senior Equestrian Instructor, UK teenage eventing champion).

Students will stay overnight and enjoy sumptuous meals at the 5-star standard Tianjin Goldin Metropolitan Polo Club Hotel which is located by the polo field.

The course is open to boys and girls aged 12-18 years. Prior riding experience is not necessary. The course fee is 8,000 Yen per person.
