Mahra won and also joins at the top of the KBL Dubai Gold Cup

Ghantoot vs. Mahra Polo

Rashid Al Habtoor's Mahra team joins the leaders of The KBL Dubai Gold Cup, Habtoor Polo, Abu Dhabi, Bin Drai and Ghantoot with four points each in the qualification by winning today their game against Ghantoot by 6 goals to 2.

With an excellent performance based on a strong team offensive play Mahra was to strong for Ghantoot.

Nacho Gonzalez had a great afternoon at the Dubai Polo & Equestrian Club scoring 4 of the six goals of Rashid Al Habtoor's team. Guy Gibrat and Agustín Canale, with one each, completed the final scoreboard.

The first chukker showed each team trying to dominate each other, with one goal from each side but from the second period till the end Mahra took control of the game and never let it go.

Oscar Cordero was the responsible of the only two goals for Ghantoot, in the first and third chukker.

With a 3-1 lead in the second chukker and 5-2 in the third, Mahra found it's way to a comfortable win with another goal in the fourth chukker by Nacho Gonzalez for the definitive 6-2 victory.

Tomorrow The KBL Dubai Polo Gold Cup will continue with two matches. At 3 pm Habtoor Polo will face Abu Dhabi and Bin Drai plays against Zedan at 4.30 pm.
