Zone 1 teams of the 'Fortune Heights' Snow Polo World Cup 2012 completed their scheduled qualifying matches on Monday, February 6th. The tournament is going ahead at the Tianjin Goldin Metroploitan Polo Club, in China.

In the day's opening match, England defeated United States 5-4, completing the first round as the only undefeated team in its zone. Hong Kong - China's 7-6 win against Argentina meant the first defeat for this latter outfit in the tournament. The final match of the day saw India being overcome, 9-2, by South Africa.

Taking into consideration these results, England (3-0), Argentina (2-1) and Hong Kong - China (2-1) are the three of the teams that have already reached the quarter-finals.

On Tuesday 7th, the zone 2 teams will continue their quest for a place in the quarter-finals. The fixtures are as follows: Brazil vs. New Zealand, France vs. Italy, and Australia vs. Chile. These last two teams remain undefeated so far.
