There was additional action for the five teams competing in the European zone's eliminatories corresponding to the forthcoming, low-handicap World Polo Championship, which is due to go ahead at San Luis, in central Argentina, this October
Hundreds of spectators were able to watch players and horses corresponding to five teams march along the streets of Siena, in Italy. The Italian, French, English, German and Dutch players rode through the streets of the city, accompanied by a local band and by a series of Maserati luxury cars.
The parade began at the Roman Entrance of the city, and was one-kilometre long, ending in the historic Piazza del Campo. The teams then circled the famous Palio and were received by the Major of Siena and by the Minister of Sports.
Later came the moment of presenting the teams and the players, all of which was followed by a cocktail during which the guests enjoyed another magic moment of polo and relaxation.
