Los Molinos, first finalist in Interschools tournament
Copa Santa Paula and a semi-final which is real classic: Newman vs. Champagnat
Los Molinos became the first finalist to emerge in the Copa Santa Paula on Thursday, September 15th. This is a traditional interschools tournament in Argentina, which takes place at the premises of the Asociación Argentina de Polo.
In the first semi-final, Los Molinos defeated St. Catherine's Moorland's "A" and made it into the event's main final. Later on, Cardenal Newman "A" defeated St. George's College 6-5, and Champagnat defeated Los Robles 8-5. Cardenal Newman and Champagnat will play the remaining semi-final on Monday, September 19th.
In what refers to the Copa Zeus, for teams that have been defeated in previous matches, one of the finalists is St. Catherine's Moorland's "B", that defeated San Juan El Precursor 11-4 . In the meantime, Instituto Agropecuario de Monte defeated Nuestra Señora de Luján 6 1/2-6 and Colegio del Pilar defeated Cardenal Newman 10-5. The two winning teams are due to battle for the remaining berth in the decisive match.
