In the midst of the venue's leading events this season, on Saturday August 6th the 2nd Annual Santa Barbara Polo School KIDZ Tournament 2011 went ahead at the Santa Barbara Polo & Racquet Club.

The event was organized by the John Westley, the owner of Santa Barbara Polo School, and was generously supported by Melissa and Marc Ganzi, from The Grand Champions Polo Club.

No less than 32 kids from all over the world took part, with ages ranging between 4 and 17 years. The four tournament divisions were "Awesome Athenians", "Grand Greeks", "Rockin' Romans" and "Slammin’ Spartans", with a total of 11 teams.

In the elder division, Slammin' Spartans, the team formed by Tony Uretz, Connell Erb and Conrad Kissling claimed overall honours, defeating the lineup of Jonny Lavine, Christen Weisz and Estee Deutsch in the final.
In the Awesome Athenians division, Caiden Erskin was chosen as MVP, in Grand Greeks it was Delfina Hall, in Rockin' Romans, the award went to Segundo Merlos, and in Slammin' Spartans, Conrad Kissling received the corresponding award.
