Gold Cup enters semi-final stage
La Bamba de Areco, Zacara, Salkeld and Les Lions seeking a berth in the final
England and Europe's leading polo event, the Veuve Clicquot Gold Cup, which is taking place at Cowdray Park Polo Club, now awaits its semi-finals next Thursday.
On Sunday, July 10th, Salkeld narrowly defeated Piaget 11-10, while Les Lions quite comfortably defeated Loro Piana 17-11, with which the quarter-finals stage was completed.
Eighteen teams (handicaps of 21 and 22 goals) have been taking part in this year's edition of the historic event, and the semi-finals will be played on Thursday, July 14th, when La Bamba de Areco faces Zacara, and Salkeld faces Les Lions.
