On a sunny and very warm afternoon in Argentina, the 5th edition of the Torneo de La Maruja came to an end, with five teams having taken part. La Tarde foursome won the final of this event for teams with handicaps of up to 6 goals, on Sunday, November 7th.

Having won its two previous matches against El Fogón (by 10-9) and Cheroke (by 9-7), La Tarde faced El Campito in the final. This latter team had won both its qualifying matches (14-3 against La Maruja, 7-5 against El Fogón). The final turned out to be quite an even match, as the 9-7 result indicates.

The three remaining teams played against each other, and the Cheroke foursome ended up claiming third place.

Also taking place this last weekend at La Maruja was the Copa Charito, for youngsters. In Sunday's final Total S.A. defeated Chreoke 7-4 and, having defeated that same team in Saturday's match, 6-4, the first-mentioned team claim the cup. These were the only two teams competing for honours.
