Argentine season to get going after rain-caused delay
Abierto de San Jorge begins Wednesday, September 8th
Following heavy rainfalls last week, it has now been announced that the season-opening Abierto de San Jorge will begin on Wednesday, September 8th.
In the men's tournament, San Jorge Equidiet will be taking on San Jorge Miralejos and, among the ladies, there will be three matches going ahead: La Ensenada Polo Club vs. Pompeya Polo Club, Coronel Suárez vs. La Sofía Polo Club, and La Vanguardia Polo Club vs. San Jorge.
The men's tournament is the most important one in the calendar of the Club Hípico San Jorge, with the Trofeo Duque de Edimburgo going to the winning team of the Open section, and with the Copa Coronel Reyes Carrere up for grabs in the Handicap section.
This year's will be the second edition of the ladies tournament, in which seven teams have registered an entry, their handicaps ranging between 12 and 18 goals.
