A breather for European Polo Championship teams
Two-day rest following the weekend's action
Following its first three days of qualifying at Polo Club Schloss Ebreichsdorf, the European Polo Championship is already a huge success, with the teams, especially the ladies' ones, all showing high standards in their outings.
There were four matches on Sunday, and the first clash ended up being a landslide victory for Holland, as it overcame Hungary by the ample margin of 17-2.
Then came Italy's (now with a 2-1 record in the event) 8-6 win against Slovakia, followed by Spain, undefeated so far, and that eliminated home team Austria with victory by 13-4½.
Monday (6th) and Tuesday (7th) will be resting days for the teams after an intense weekend. Wednesday's (September 8th) fixtures are as follows: Germany vs. Hungary, Austria vs. Slovakia, Switzerland vs. Holland, and Spain vs. England.
