High scoring on second day of European Polo Ch'ship

France, England and Switzerland, the day's comfortable winners; Success also for Spain

There were high scores during the second round of qualifying matches corresponding to the European Polo Championship on Saturday, September 4th.

To start the afternoon off at Polo Club Schloss Ebreichsdorf, in Austria, the event debuting Spanish team defeated Italy 9-6.

The following three matches showed much more dominance from the winning teams: France outscored Germany 14-5½, England defeated Austria on an even larger scale, 14-2½, while Switzerland’s winning margin over Hungary was even higher: 14-2. This means that the English team is the only one with two wins so far.

Sunday, September 5th will see the following matches go ahead: Hungary vs. Holland, Slovakia vs. Italy, Spain vs. Austria, and France vs. Switzerland.
