Delays in kickoff of Argentinian season

Just like each year, the Abierto de San Jorge is Argentina's spring season-opener, and similarly to what happens most years, the weather forces the organizers to postpone the start of the event.
There has been an accumulated rainfall of 75 mm in the Buenos Aires area during recent days, according to data supplied by the organziers of the Abierto de San Jorge. This leads to Wednesday, September 8th being the tentative replacement date for the start of event.
The mens' tournament is the most important of all the ones on the Abierto de San Jorge organizers' calendar. Up for grabs are the Trofeo Duque de Edimburgo (for the Abierto, or Open) and the Copa Coronel Reyes Carrere (for the Handicap section). On many occasions, this championship is good as a warmup for players and ponies in Argentina. Apart from this traditional tournamernt, the second edition of the Womens' Open will also go ahead, with teams of handicaps ranging between 12 and 18 goals.
