No halt to polo on Spanish soil

XI Campeonato de Andalucía begins Friday, September 3rd

Close on the steps of a thrilling XXXIX Torneo Internacional BMW de Polo which took place during August, the Spain's Santa María Polo Club is now going ahead with the XI Campeonato de Andalucía, with four 5-handicap teams competing on the club’s Río Sotogrande grounds.

The teams that have registered an entry for the event are Woodchester, Indios Charrúas, Silex and Dr.A, that are due to start the event on Friday, September 3rd. Also involved in the organization are Andaluza de Polo, the Consejería de Comercio, Turismo & Deporte of the Junta de Andalucía, and Sotogrande S.A.

The opening match has been staged for 5 p.m. (CET) on field II between Indios Charrúa and Woodchester. After that, Dr.A will face Silex in the second match of the day. These matches will set the fixtures for this Saturday's semi-finals, as from 5 p.m. On Sunday (5th) as from the 11 a.m., two teams will play the match deciding 3rd and 4th places, after which the two finalists will go for the Andalucía title.
