Beyer defeated Sarasin 7-6 in a thrilling and dramatic 2010 Sarasin Swiss Open final which took place on Sunday, August 29th at Polo Park Zurich.
A 6-6 tie at the end of the scheduled amount of chukkers led to extra time, something which has occurred in a number of the world's leading tournaments this season, due to the participating teams' parity.
Argentinian Milo Fernández Araujo scored the winning goal with which Beyer finally edged Sarasin 7-6. Federico Bachmann, part of the winning team's line-up, was awarded the MVP prize, and Canelo (belonging to Fernández Araujo) received the Best Playing Pony award, while Alejandro Agote (Sarasin) was the top scorer.
