Tania Bruzs was born in the south of France, from a latvian mother and a flemmish father, both of them painters. She quickly followed her parents' steps, and after having studied at the Beaux-Arts Academy of Paris, she began her career as a painter.

She worked in New York, Mexico and Brussels, after which she began residing in Paris. Her studio in that city had a huge bay window giving onto the street, and one day when she was working on a series of paintings of San Martin riding his horse, somebody who was passing by asked her if she would be interested in working on the subject of polo. That same person invited her to participate in the Polo and Alumni's annual party at the Polo Club de Bagatelle of Paris. She accepted.

That was only three months ago, and here we are ! We don't know what is the most outstanding aspect of her work referred to polo, apart from her own natural talent : the brief period with which she mastered the subject, the accuracy of the lines, the size of her drawings (most of them are 150cm x 200cm), or her ability to transmit the power and the grace of polo. And a result that at once seems familiar and ahead of its time.

Tania has a lot of projects in mind at the moment ?especially in what is referred to polo: following her amazing start in this specialty, she has received orders from all over Europe- and she also continues to follow her own path, with an exhibition this fall in the port of Zeebrugge, Belgium, on the subject of the Madonna.

A great artist on whom to keep an eye on.
