The position of the wrist during the swing

Tips to help you improve on your game

The palm of the hand looks backwards. When we achieve this, the mallet will be in perfect position to initiate the downswing, falling automatically into a perpendicular angle to the ball at impact. The head of the mallet rotates from open to square at impact.

Here, the wrist and the position of the mallet are incorrect, since the palm of the hand is looking downward. When we do this the mallet gets too heavy and forces the forearm to rotate. This leads to a compensation when the head of the mallet is getting close to impact, and more often than not, we miss.
